      <abstract>
        <p>A simple, sensitive, rapid, accurate and precise spectrophotometric method has been developed for estimation of Glimepiride in bulk and tablet dosage forms. The zero order spectra shows maximum absorbance at 249 nm. Calibration graph was found to be linear over the concentration range of 5-30 μg/ml. Results of analysis were validated for precision, range, linearity, interference study and recovery studies, The method can be adopted in its routine analysis.</p>
